ABOUT: Annual wildflower named the State Flower of California in 1903. Blooms are brightly colored golden-orange cups 2-3″ across. This plant naturalizes easily and looks stunning in wildflower mixes. Drought tolerance makes it a good choice for xeriscaping and for tougher locations like roadsides, driveways, and vacant lots.
HOW TO GROW: Sow seeds directly in a location with full sun. Scatter seeds and rake in lightly. Plants need only sporadic water and thrive with little care. Reseeds readily.
