Cilantro ‘Santo’ – Seed Packet
ABOUT: Fresh-cut annual herb that is popular in Mexican cuisine. Especially good in salsas and pico de gallo or sprinkled on flat tacos. This variety is ‘Santo’, a slow-bolt selection grown for its leaves. When the plant does eventually bolt in summer, leave it in place to flower and you’ll be rewarded with lots of bees and beneficial insects visiting its cloud of tiny white flowers.
HOW TO GROW: Direct sow in spring in full sun. May succession plant every 2-3 weeks until June for a continual harvest and then again in late summer for a fall crop. Thinning is optional, plants grow well when sown thickly. For coriander seed production, thin to stand 2-4″ apart. Seed depth: ½” Seed spacing: ½”. Days to Maturity: 45-55.
