Italian Parsley – Seed Packet
ABOUT: Flat-leaved variety that is a biennial mostly grown as an annual. Finely chop and sprinkle over vegetables, fish, potatoes and rice dishes to garnish. Also good in Green Goddess salad dressing.
HOW TO GROW: Direct sow outside in spring, 4-6 weeks before the average last frost date. Parsley seeds can be slow to germinate, especially in cooler temperatures, hence it has earned itself the reputation of “needing to go to the devil seven times” before it will sprout! So just be patient, as temperatures warm seedlings will pop up. Seed depth: ¼”. Plant a group of 3 seeds every 8″. When 1″ tall, thin to 1 plant per 8″.
