Pole Bean “Kentucky Wonder” – Seed Packet

ABOUT: This heirloom green bean from the 1800s has remained a popular garden staple due to its good old-fashioned flavor and prolific yields. It was grandpa’s favorite and is mine too. The easy to grow vines climb 6-8 feet tall and do best on a tepee or other support. Days to harvest: 65

HOW TO GROW: Direct sow seeds 1 to 2 weeks after the last frost date up until 80 days before the first fall frost. Seed depth: 1″ Seed spacing: 6″ Row spacing: 36″

PRO-TIP: By planting successive sowings every 7 to 14 days, you will have a steady supply of green beans through summer. Grower notes: A typical seed sowing window for Spokane Valley (a USDA zone 6a garden) is from May 8-July 15th.
