Salad Burnet – Salad Burnet
ABOUT: Edible perennial with a unique leaf shape that goes well in salads or on sandwiches. Harvest the slightly nutty, cucumber-flavored leaves from late winter through spring when they are most tender. Seeds also work well for microgreens.
HOW TO GROW: Direct sow in spring in full sun, planting 1 seed per inch. Barely cover seeds. Alternatively, start inside 6-8 weeks before setting outside. Final spacing: 8-12’ apart in 18” rows. Microgreens mature 10-15 days from sowing.
