Sea Holly ‘Steel Blue’ – Seed Packet
ABOUT: Perennial in USDA zones 5-9 with striking silvery-blue flowers that look like small glowing thistles from midsummer until fall. The flowers rise above basal clumps of dark green leaves. Plants attract bees and butterflies and provide architectural beauty in cut bouquets. They look lovely reflecting the moonlight and could be grown as part of a moon garden with other white and silvery plants. Mature height: 24-48″
HOW TO GROW: Start seeds indoors 10-12 weeks before the average last frost date, or direct sow outside in fall or late winter (placing a trio of seeds every 24″, later thinning to 1 plant). Seed depth: Press into surface. Transplant spacing: 18-24″. Prefers full sun.
